Scott: thanks for the kudos, and great ideas too. You've got a terrific personal brand already, you throw yourself 100% into the game, and you're on your way with your Primal Key. I'd take it one step further and create something even bigger than that "primal urge." (LOL) Let's talk. :)

Matt: good point on the signatures. I'm sure there were collectors in among the bidders who drove the bid amount up. The winner of the eBay auction, Betty Casey, is a big time philanthropist. So her reason for bidding was probably focused more on the MCLEF kids.

Great point on the the Senate majority leader and his cadre of co-signers. After smearing a private citizen and, they were called on the carpet with a massive New Media Marketing campaign. It's quite revealing that they did not step up to the challenge of backing up their "support of the troops" with hard earned cash.

It's an interesting lack of meaningful action for the party who has claimed the banner of "compassion" for themselves. I'm sure though that if they had a way to spend your and my (tax) money as the donation.... it would have been done with fanfare. ;-)

great post. Part of the reason why the rush limbaugh letter was also worth so much was becuase of the signatures it contained. anyone who was a collector of signatures would have loved to have that letter (clinton, kennedy, kerry, etc). But the fact that the money was going to charity was probably also a big plus. Not to mention the fact that Rush matched the donation personally... Not too bad.

Too bad the people who sent the letter wouldn't pony up and make a matching contribution as well.

Great post bud!

I'm in the fat loss industry, but I'm not selling fat loss. Like you said it's much bigger than that. It's definitely different for each individual.

If I was appealing to a male audience in their late teens it would be a beach body to get laid. That would be their primal key. They don't want weight loss or muscle gain... they want to get laid...

(sorry to be blunt and honest.... but I am The Fit Bastard.)

There's a lot of fat loss books out there and there is one that I'm particularly impressed with. I never promote anything unless I've actually used the product and have proven that it works.

Well with this particular product I decided to publicly document my journey while following the program.

I've displayed pictures of my progress as well as my wife's progress who is also following the diet.

I've also included video as well as an audio interview with the author of the book.

Am I throwing myself in there? You bet. I don't have to tell them that the product works. I'm showing them that it is.

Check out what I mean at my blog:

Action speaks louder than words.

Thanks for the great post J.P.
